Repair or Relace

Repair or Replace

This year, your business needs to get value for money from EVERYTHING it does

Last year was a year for the books.

Even this year has started off in a less than positive way 😠

Although we’re all hopeful for a change in fortune – at least towards the summer – we’re still a long way off from things being back to normal.

Add to that the Great Recession that we’re expecting. And it’s clear to any good business owner that we all really need to spend our budgets wisely.

Every dollar spent should bring value for money. It’s vital that we see the return on investment from absolutely everything we do.

And that, of course, includes what you spend on your IT.

Sometimes though, not spending on IT can cost more in the long run

While it’s tempting to save money and stretch your budget, one area that you can’t afford to cut on is your IT support.

You should already know the value of working with an IT support partner who handles your whole IT infrastructure while keeping your data secure and safe.

But what about your business’s spend on devices?

Good maintenance can only stretch a device’s lifespan so far. And if your PCs or laptops are more than 3 years old, it’s likely they’re costing you more to run than the cash cost of a new device.

FACT: A 5 year old PC costs twice as much to run as a new one

That means constant repairs and upgrades are not bringing you the savings you’d expect. And it’s likely productivity will be taking a big hit as well, as devices slow down over time.

In fact, you could be making an extremely expensive mistake using old equipment.

Here’s how I know this to be true

My name is Troy McLennan and I own and run IT support and data security business HUB Technology Solutions. My team and I spend a lot of time recommending the best course of action when it comes to ageing equipment.

We believe that you don’t need to spend a small fortune on your devices. We never suggest trading in older models when a newer one is released. And we certainly would never encourage our clients to spend their budget where it isn’t necessary.

However, sometimes it is simply more cost effective to replace devices rather than attempting another repair or upgrade. The tricky part is knowing when the real cost of repair outweighs the cost and benefits of a new device.

We’re currently offering local businesses a device health check, to help you to determine if you could be making more long-term savings.

My team of experts will talk to you about your business, the devices that you use, and any problems that you’ve been facing with them (or repairs/upgrades that you’ve already made).

There’s no cost to this check.

Before we go ahead, we’ll need to have a quick video call (no more than 15 minutes) to discuss your business, and answer your questions.

It’s easy to arrange this. My live calendar is below. Look and select the appointment date and time that suits you best.

There’s no obligation to go ahead with the check after we talk. And no obligation to buy anything, ever.
